Self Catering Accommodation in Shetland
UNAVAILABLE FOR RENT AT PRESENT
Shoreside Self Catering Cottage is a detached Croft House situated in Shetland - in an idyllic sea-front location just a few feet from the waters edge. Built around 1863 on Shetlands West coast using local stone and wood from a grounded German cargo ship, this cottage has a fascinating story to tell.
An Idyllic Setting
Surrounded by dry stone walls, green fields and water, this detached self catering accommodation has uninterrupted views over the Bay to Crabba Skerry, home to many local seals. To the front, a secluded stony beach.

The peacefulness is interrupted by the sound of seals playing or the cry of a heron defending its fishing spot. You might even hear an otter whistling to its young, or the splash of a sea trout jumping for flies in the evening.
The Local Village
The village of Walls located just 2 miles West of the cottage has a village shop and bakery which runs a tea room during summer months. The village hall, an important local focal point is sometimes used by one of the islands Chinese Takeaways to provide takeaway food - keep a look out for the signs beside the road.
Four Seasons
The cottage is perfect for Autumn and Winter breaks too with a recently installed Multi Fuel Stove to keep you cozy. It is also equipped with free Wifi access so you can keep track on e-mails and even 'work from home' if you need to.

During autumn and winter you will be rewarded with some of the most beautiful sunsets and starry skies you could imagine, and some of the most spectacular Aurora borealis displays to be seen anywhere in the British Isles.
